Dip is Mayonnaise and Honey Mustard and Sweet Chili Sauce
Ornaments grabbed off the Christmas tree
With everything that is already on your plate this Christmas, that’s what you wanted, something else to think about. What finger food are you going to bring? And these tiny suckers don’t come cheap!
Everywhere you look in the grocery store you have the eye-catching boxes with only a dozen bites. Of course the packaging is beautiful, how do you think they entice you to buy more than one type of appetizer and multiple boxes of each?
But if you were to buy them for a party you could easily break the bank. Unless you did it yourself.
I’m going to show you an inexpensive appetizer that will impress.
Bag of Jumbo Ravioli
Bag of Kentucky Bourbon Chicken Agnolotti
SUGGESTIONS FOR DIPS
Mayonnaise and Sriracha Hot Sauce
Mayonnaise and honey mustard
Sweet Chili Sauce
You can also use Perogies, Chinese Dumplings, Won Tons, and the smaller ravioli.
I use the Jumbo ravioli because my boys and their friends are all over six feet tall and are bottomless pits.
If you don’t have Panko, use what you have. Use breadcrumbs or season your flour with your favorite spices like oregano, garlic powder, and black pepper.
Cook ravioli in a large pot of SALTED, boiling water. Once they rise to the top, let them boil for 2-4 minutes.
Drop them into a bowl of ice water.
Immediately take them out and place on a clean kitchen towel. (I even use a clean tablecloth if I’m making a big batch)
Once the ravioli has cooled dip them in egg then panko.
Fry them till they are golden brown and place them on paper towel to absorb the excess oil.
Fill up trays and serve. As you can see a little goes a long way.
